324 Million emails sent each month in the NHS

64% of respondents in a 2020 study reported frequent disruption to their main work

Email. The most popular communication tool for the workplace. And with good reason - it's easy and efficient. But at what cost?

Many healthcare workers report their inboxes bursting with urgent messages that are impossible to read and action during the working day. On average, NHS staff receives 30 emails a day. Over 10% of the staff can receive up to 100 emails daily.

In healthcare, when inboxes are unmanageable, the consequences for NHS staff and patients can be devastating. Staff try to catch up during breaks, evenings, weekends and holidays, leading to chronic technostress. Despite this, important patient care emails might be missed.

Our vision is to develop software for clinical staff that makes their work lives more sustainable and efficient, enabling them to spend the most time with their patients and less time on administrative workflows.

84% of our NHS staff survey respondents rely on emails either constantly or hourly.
